Being poor sucks. You might poke around my site a bit and think “this guy doesn’t know the first thing about being poor”. Well, my vacillating friend, I can say I know more than a little about the topic.

How did I amass my breathtaking knowledge of destitution? Lets see…
I grew up in a home that didn’t have central heat
I took a royal battering from bored, local law enforcement resulting in many years with no driver’s license and in turn no car. (willful reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident because I hit a pole in a parking garage when my brakes failed and then parked the car nearby without reporting it, no idea why I would, followed by required SR22 insurance I couldn’t afford on top of a 45 mile one way daily commute and a few subsequent driving while ineligible tickets)
I suffered a back injury so severe I was bed ridden for nearly two years.

Those are the highlights, maybe I’ll get into more later. But you can see I have some credentials.

As a result of this mess I know the challenges and I managed to come up with ways around them which I will share in this series. One last bit of evidence despite growing up truly dirt poor and being a college dropout I did manage to make that six figure salary eventually. I can’t promise you will too but I can point you in the right direction.
